Injun Joe

Injun Joe is known as the villain in The 

Adventures of Tom Sawyer.  Throughout the book,

Injun Joe is out for revenge against all those who have

wronged or whipped him. He murders Dr. Robinson

and frames Muff Potter for the crime, not knowing 

that from less than five feet away, Tom and Huck have

witnessed the crime. Once Tom tells the court that

Injun Joe killed Dr. Robinson, Injun Joe goes into hiding,

sneaking around at night, wearing a disguise. Even

after all of his precautions, Tom and Huck still 

manage to discover his identity. They follow him

around looking for his stolen treasures and waiting

for him to die or go to jail so they can take his

treasure.
